I've been struggling with keeping my pantry organized and my food fresh. This vacuum sealer has been a game-changer! My food stays fresher for so much longer, and it's so easy to use.

Great product. We do a lot of canning and sometimes you have that one jar that did not seal. You have to reheat water just for that one jar. Now we do not. Any that do not seal we just put the sealer on it and it seals them right up. You can reseal every time you open a jar up. We have not had it long enough to see if it helps food you get at the store to keep longer by transferring it to a mason jar and using the sealer but we are trying it. It is also nice that you do not have to battle a cord so you can us it anywhere. It is a time saver and so much better and easier to use than the ones with the vacuum hose in the lid.

I had purchased something similar to work with my food saver vacuum sealer, but it never worked properly. I saw the Mason Genie as an alternative, and it works beautifully on both my standard and wide- mouth jars/ lids. I have used this multiple times to vacuum seal dry goods ( kidney beans from my garden, rice, and various grains. I just follow the filling instructions, pop in a desiccant pack for good measure, and seal the jars- easy to use, all seals have been successful.

I got sick of buying super expensive berries and watching them rot in my fridge in two or three days. Storing in jars alone can extend the shelf life but removing the air as well it gives you longer-lasting freshness. I've had a few different types of these sealers and I really like this one a lot. You don't need proprietary lids, you can use any lids that you have that match your jars. It does come with three of each of the small and wide mouth size jar lids. Very easy to just push down on top and hit the button and the jars are sealed. You can do this in less than a minute so it's not inconvenient. The device is small enough you can keep it handy in the kitchen. Love this and have saved money by not tossing berries just a few days after I purchased them. Comes with its own charging cord. The device also shows battery percentage on the top when you're finished sealing for a few seconds on the display which is nice.

I was a bit dubious that this would work well but sure enough it creates a super strong vacuum! You need to make sure it's well seated by pushing down a bit hard, then press the button. When you stop the vacuum, if you hear a "ping" sound you know it's worked. I've been using it on crackers and things we don't eat quick enough to get through a bag before they usually get stale and love it.

I love mine. I use it for just about everything. Plus I love the look of jars on my shelves.
